Hektor vs Trenet

Shall we call them 'the hardest working band in French filles-land'? The guys and doll of Hektor never fail to amaze me. They recorded a brilliant X-mas song (1), remixed Yelle, covered Daft Punk (2) and now they send me a future summerhit. At least, one can only hope that their version of the classic Charles Trenet song Route Nationale 7 will be all over the radio when the first rays of sun peek through the clouds. Fingers crossed!

  1. Thnx for the Charles Trenet-song. Forget about Hektor, I think the best remake ever of this song was made by The Honeymoon Killers on their 1982 album Les Tueurs de la Lune Miel. The Honeymoon Killers (from Belgium) made me love French music. Their Route National 7 is a crazy up tempo song; yes, it makes you happy. Unfortenately it is not sung by a zuchtmeisje (diepe diepe zucht). But other songs on their album are (by the great Veronique Vincent). You realy have to listen to their cover version of Gainsbourgs Laisse Tomber Les Filles. Makes me wanna scream.
